This week, we had the pleasure of welcoming again the Chair of Hydraulic Fluid Machinery, led by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Romuald Skoda from Ruhr University Bochum, to our headquarters in Bochum.

Nearly 30 participants — including students and staff from the chair — took part in the excursion. Stepping away from academic theory, the visit offered valuable insights into state of the art pump technology and the real-world operations of a globally active pump manufacturer. During a guided tour of our two Bochum facilities, the future engineers had the opportunity to experience key stages of our pump production process firsthand.

A big thank you to all participants for their visit, their insightful contributions, and the engaging conversations!

This weekend, our team enjoyed the annual Klaus Union Christmas tree event, where each employee received a beautiful Christmas tree. The festive atmosphere was rounded off with food and drinks – a wonderful opportunity to wrap up the year together.

Last week we had the pleasure to welcome the Chair of Hydraulic Fluid Machinery headed by Prof. Dr.- Ing. Romuald Skoda of the Ruhr University Bochum at our headquarters in Bochum.

Away from the daily theory, the visit offered the students a comprehensive insight into the practice of a globally operating pump manufacturer. This included a tour of our two plants in Bochum, where the young engineers were able to see many stages of the production process of our pumps.

While our magnet drive technology is inherently designed to protect people and the environment, we are taking steps to make broad areas of our operations greener – worldwide.

In this context, our Managing Director Alexander Enghardt visited our subsidiary KUI Pumps in Pune, India, to get an on-site picture of this process. The photovoltaic system installed on the roof of the building covers 2/3 of the factory’s total energy requirements and thus significantly reduces its carbon footprint.

And since he was just there, Alex planted a tree – in the spirit of sustainability and as a symbol of the foundation of growth. As the plant grows, so does the relationship, and as the roots grow deeper, the relationship strengthens.
